Happy Fruitful Friday Reader!

🍓💦 Fruit and Water

Just as Little Pot needs water to grow its strawberries, we need water to grow the fruit of the Spirit!

You probably read that and thought about how many glasses of water you drank today and if it was enough. But I'm talking about the water inside your Yeti or new Stanley mugs. I'm talking about the water the woman at the well with Jesus discovered. Living Water!

Living Water

Did you know that the term Jesus used for "living water" was not a strange word to the woman at the well? It was the term they used to describe a spring or fountain of water. I always thought "living water" would be a weird thing for her to hear. However, the strangest part was that if she drank this water, she would never be thirsty again!

What are you thirsty for?

She was a thirsty woman not just for water but for love and acceptance. Her past and the fact that she went to the well by herself tell us that she was rejected by others and probably lonely. I felt lonely last week, too. I wasn't alone. I was at a writer's conference surrounded by professionals and felt out of place. I am pretty good at faking it. However, inside my head are voices telling me I don't belong in the world of professional authors. In those moments, I am the most lonely.

The Conference was called The Well Conference for Creatives, and its theme was Reflections. As I faced my fears, I considered the woman at the well with Jesus and drew parallels between her experience and mine (Pun Intended). Check out the blog this week to learn what Living Water really is and why we cannot see our own reflections in the buckets we draw with. You will probably discover similarities between the woman at the well and you.

Graduation Gifts

May is a time for graduation. The Little Pot books make great graduation gifts. Check out this blog about what to get a kindergartener for graduation. Honestly, the books are great gifts for high school graduates, too!

That's all I have for you this week.

Quench your thirst and stay fruitful,

Dawn, Little Pot, Tea Pot, Oil Lamp, and the cracked jar.

Happy Fruitful Friday Reader! Are you ready for strawberry season? 🍓Strawberry Season Have you been strawberry picking this year? I considered going this past week to Gaston County, NC. Then, I realized that a recent storm and tornado had destroyed the strawberry field closest to where I was. Likewise, flooding from California's Pajaro and Salinas rivers damaged hundreds of millions of dollars worth of strawberry fields last year. The flooding affected about 20% of strawberry farms in the...

Happy Mother's Day and Happy Fruitful Friday, Reader! I don't have to remind you that this weekend is Mother's Day. Mother's Day without a Mom I never appreciated Mother's Day much until I had to celebrate it without a mom. My mom died when I was 19 years old. As all kids and teenagers do, I lived the first nineteen years focused on myself. I never realized what a mom did and never thought it could be that difficult. Mother's Day as a Mom I couldn't wait to be a mom myself. I anticipated...

Hi, Reader! This fruitful Friday, we are doing some cutting! I think I told you my word for the year is forward. I chose that word because, in January, I did a Bible study called Don't Look Back. I chose the study and the word because I want to ensure I am not dwelling on things in my past. God reminded me of that this week when I longed for past relationships, jobs, and experiences. He gently reminded me, "I cut that out of your life for a reason." Ouch! Cutting can hurt. For Little Pot,...
